James “Sarge” McDaniel, 73, of Tyrone, OK passed away Monday morning February 3, 2025 at his home.

He was born on December 8, 1951 to James Alfred and Clara Ilene (House) McDaniel at Canadian, TX.

On March 31, 1972 he married Patsy Ruth Shumate Wesley in Knowles, OK.

Sarge was a graduate of Forgan High School in Forgan, OK; class of 1970. He worked as a Truck Driver for Zenith Drilling for 30 years, retiring in 2019. Sarge enjoyed fishing, reading, and
crossword puzzles. He adored his grandchildren; spending time and teaching them many life lessons.

Sarge is survived by his loving Wife, Patsy; Two Daughters, Patty Knutson of Tyrone, OK and Trissa (Eric) Winter both of Turpin, OK; Son, James (Kristy) McDaniel of Scottsbluff, NE; Nine Grandchildren, Cassie (James) Starkey,
Amanda Winter (Fiance – Todd) , Nicole (Chris) Jenkins, Jared (Jackie) McVey, Chelsey McDaniel. Ashley McDaniel, Laura Sokol, Kendra (Jared) Horrocks, and Dale McDaniel; 18 Great Grandchildren, Peyton, Shanna, Everlee, Clara, Harley, Emily, Jesse, Zaniyah, Zainder, Liam, Keaghan, Saige, Daisy, Freyja, Dale, Zayden, Kash and Jasper; Sister, Janice Stebens, Brother in laws, Dave Wesley and Jim Galbavy, Sister in Law, Karen Wesley, Many Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, Leroy & Debbie Bruton; Sister, Shirley Mercer.

Cremation has taken place per Sarge’s wishes.

A Memorial Service may be announced at a later date.
