James Collins McCourt, Jr

James Collins McCourt, Jr., age 49, died December 30, 2014 in rural Seward County, KS.
He was born September 5, 1965 at Denver, CO, the son of James Collin, Sr. and JoAnn (Dyet) McCourt.
He attended high school in Hominy, OK. He had been an EMT for Payne County, OK. He was currently a truck driver for West Plains Transport, Inc in Liberal, KS.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he was the overseer of the congregation garden. Jim loved to cook and smoke meat for special functions.
He was married to Carol Britton on September 4, 2005 at Groome, TX. She survives.

Daughter – Justine Michelle McCourt of Liberal, KS;
Step-Son J D Sneed and wife Teresa of Stillwater, OK;
2 Sisters- Mary Frances Minor and husband Gerald of Hominy, OK;
Marjorie JoAnn Phillips and husband Thomas of Hominy, OK;
2 Step-Granddaughters – Jade Sneed and Jenell Sneed
and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 Brothers- John Franklin Rogers and Walter Eugene Rogers.
Memorial Service will be 11:30 am Monday, Jan. 5th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2180 Violet Lane in Liberal with Bishop Tom Willis presiding.
Visitation will be 1 – 5 pm Sunday, with the family present to greet friends, at Brenneman Funeral Home.
