UPDATE: Jackson “Jack” Moore

Jackson “Jack” Nelson Moore, 92, of Liberal, passed away on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center in Amarillo,TX.
He was born on August 15, 1925 to Charles and Agnes (Vinther) Moore at Mexhoma, OK.
On June 20, 1964 he married Joan Vore at Oklahoma City, OK; She preceded him in death on December 24, 1986.
Jack grew up on a farmstead southwest of Wheeless, OK. After completing High School he moved to Goodwell, OK to attend College for two years. In 1951 he joined the Army during the Korean Conflict; separating with an Honorary Discharge in 1953. Jack and his family moved to Kendall, KS for farming & ranching. The family moved to Kodiak, AK for two years, returning back to Elkhart, KS, where he farmed and ranched near Keyes, OK, then moved to Syracuse, KS. Jack’s wife Joan developed Cancer which prompted their moved to Liberal, KS in 1984 to be close to their daughter Vicky. After Joan passed Jack continued to live in Liberal. Jack enjoyed dancing, playing snooker and dominos. He was an active member of the Liberal Senior Center.
Jack is survived by Two Sons – Micky Moore and wife Pat of Kendall, KS, Robert Moore of Liberal, KS; Daughter – Vicky Kauffman, wife of Jim Kauffman of Liberal, KS; Two Grandsons – Harold Moore and wife JoDee of Fairmont, OK, Travis Moore and wife Bonnie of Arcanum, OH; Five Granddaughters – Misty Del Cuore and husband Mike of Littleton, CO, Shameem Kauffman of Denver, CO, Kimberly Griffith and husband C.A. of Leavenworth, KS, Micah Zamora and husband Sean of Vancouver, WA, Morgan Moore of Dallas, TX; 11 Great Grandchildren; One Great-Great Grandchild; and One Sister – Marie Holloway of Amarillo, TX.; Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, One Daughter-Jacki Mae, Four Sisters, One Brother and Two Son-In-Laws.
Viewing will be 1:00pm to 8:00pm Friday July 27th at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Miller Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Rex Petty, officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at the Boise City Cemetery in Boise City, OK.
