J.B. Ketcherside, 71, longtime Guymon resident passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
The son of Joe Alfred and Mary Katherine (McGill) Ketcherside, Joe Bryant Ketcherside was born December 7, 1949 in Kiowa, Oklahoma.
J.B. and Darlene Faye O’Leary were united in marriage on December 6, 1984 in Guymon. J.B. worked in the oilfield industry for many years, retiring as a supervisor with Key Energy. He was a member of the Guymon Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Jo Jo Ketcherside and John Shirley; daughter-in-law, Wendi Ketcherside; one sister, Mary Jo Hintergardt and two brothers, Ronnie and Jimmy Ketcherside.
Survivors include his loving wife, Darlene Ketcherside of the home; one daughter, Melissa Bales and husband, Danny Lee of Goodwell; three sons: Bryan Ketcherside and wife, Brenna of Guymon, Jason Ketcherside of McLean, Texas and friend, Erin Pierce of Guymon, and Jimmy Shirley and wife, Janet of Amarillo, Texas; fourteen grandchildren: Brandy, Terri Jo, Heather, Dakota H., Josh, Dylan, Dakota J., Hogan, Jacie, B.J., Stormi, Carly, Jaylyn and Jody; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1st from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Guymon Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Craig Shepperd and Angela Walker officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
