Ivan “Wobbles” Ramirez

Ivan “Wobbles” Ramirez, age 30, died Sunday, January 17, 2021, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on July 21, 1990, in Johnson, Kansas, the son of Reynario Ramirez and Lorena Ochoa De Torres.

Ivan grew up in Ulysses. He was currently living in Dodge City. Ivan had worked at Quick Draw Oil Change, and as a forklift driver for National Beef both of Dodge City. His pride and joy was his kids. Ivan also took pride in his car and loved his dog, Gorda.

Ivan is survived by two sons, Carlos Ramirez and Anthony Isaiah Ramirez both of Dodge City, Kansas; father, Reynario Ramirez of Ulysses, Kansas; mother and step-dad, Lorena and Juan Torres of Guymon, Oklahoma; brothers, Alejandro Chavira and Jovan Ochoa both of Guymon, Oklahoma; sisters, Giselle Torres and Jazmin Torres both of Guymon, Oklahoma; and his grandmother, Aracilia Rivas of Ulysses, Kansas. Aracelia helped raise Ivan and was like a second mother to him. Ivan loved and respected her very much. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on both the Ramirez and Ochoa side.

Ivan is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Vigil and Rosary Service will be Friday, January 22, 2021, at 7:00 PM and Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10:00 AM both at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Reverend Aneesh Parappanattu, MSFS officiating. Funeral mass will be also be streamed live on Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, January 22, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
