Ismael Olivas Garcia

Ismael Olivas Garcia, 73, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at his residence in Moscow, Kansas.

He was the son of Ismael and Maria (Garcia) Olivas, born on September 11, 1950, in Chihuahua, Mexico.

He married Bonnie Ann Hernandez on October 29, 1977, in Blackfoot, Idaho.

Ismael worked for Sunbelt Feeders for about 20 years. He loved his family and enjoyed visiting with his friends. Ismael enjoyed music, gardening, and cookouts.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, Moscow, KS.; son, Bobby Hernandez and wife Nalin, Garden City, KS.; two daughters, Linda Olivas, Liberal, KS., Dessie Olivas, Denver, CO.; three brothers, Manuel Olivas and wife, Arcelia, Shelly, Id., Luis Olivas, Phoenix, AZ., Ricardo Olivas and wife Tancho, Moscow, KS.; two sisters, Leticia Olivas, Salt Lake City, Ut., Erlinda Olivas, Chihuahua, Mexico; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Ismael was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials have been established for the Ismael Olivas Garcia Memorial, and checks payable to Robson Funeral Home in care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.

Rosary and Mass service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 10:15 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS. Interment will be a later date at Col. Gomez Y Gomez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Cremation has occurred and is handled by Robson Funeral Home of Hugoton, Kansas.
