Isabel Rangel Martinez, 92, of Liberal, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Baptist St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo, TX.

She was born on September 12, 1930 to Cosme and Maria (Correa) Rangel at Lyons, KS.

On July 12, 1948 she married Leo T Martinez at Las Vegas, NM.

Isabel attended schools in Garden City, KS. She enjoyed crocheting, reading mystery novels, playing bingo, scratch-off tickets, and cooking. She loved spending time with her sisters, children, and family. Isabel also had a “lead foot” and enjoyed driving fast.

Isabel is survived by her Daughter, Virginia Martinez of Liberal, KS; Two Sons, Leo Martinez of Kismet, KS, Ralph Martinez of Kismet, KS; Six Granddaughters, Stephanie Martinez of Topeka, KS, Marilyn Martinez of Topeka, KS, Micaela Barnes of Topeka, KS, Esperanza Martinez of Kismet, KS, Jovonna Martinez of Wray, CO, Ayaka Makishima of Dallas, TX; 18 Grandchildren, and 44 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Father, Cosme Hernandez Rangel, Mother, Maria Rangel, Husband, Leo T Martinez, Son, Joe R Martinez, Son, Jesse T Martinez, Sister, Julia Garcia, Sister, Senona Martinez, Sister, Connie Martinez, Brother, Richard Rangel;

There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

A private family inurnment at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden, City, KS will be held at a later date.

Miller Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
