Irene Rose Mitchell

Irene Rose Mitchell 91, died Sunday Nov. 20, 2016 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, KS.
She was born May 16, 1925 in Meade County, Kansas the daughter of Charles Wilbur and Lydia (Cordes) Smith. She has been a longtime resident of Liberal, KS. She was employed at Woods Department Store for 25 years and was the top sales person for most of that time and she also was a great homemaker.

She loved to travel and she and her husband was a member of several camping Clubs. In 1967 she married Raymon Mitchell in Liberal, KS. He survives.

1 Grandson Darren Harvey and 3 Stepchildren Terrall Smith, Leann Moura, Stephanie Davis

She is proceeded in death by a son Daryll Harvey and a brother Ray Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stan Lehnert presiding. Burial will be held in Plains Cemetery in Plains, Kansas.

Visitation time will be 1-8pm Tuesday and 9 am to service time on Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 6 – 7 pm Tuesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
