Inez Pauline Shirley

Inez Pauline Shirley 84 died, November 19, 2014 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, KS.
She was born March 28, 1930 in Ulysses, KS the daughter of Clyde and Jessie (Kennedy) Hamon. She graduated in 1948 from Ulysses High School. On June 6, 1948 she married Clayton Ross Shirley in Ulysses, Kansas. He died August 12, 2012. After their marriage they moved to Norman, OK where she worked for James E. Bennett and Co stockbrokers. In 1952 they moved to Liberal where she became the bookkeeper for H & R Pharmacy.

She is a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, the Newcomer Club, Federated Club, Southwest Medical Center Aux, Ladies Golf Association at the Liberal Country Club where she was very active in golf winning a record number of club tournaments.

Survivors include

Son Rick Shirley and wife Jeannie Dodge City, Kansas

Grandchildren Brad Shirley and wife Tiffany, Allison Irwin and husband Shane. Great Grandchildren Alex and Annabelle Shirley and Logan and Ian Irwin.

Sister Evelyn Marin and husband Bob Kingwood, Texas

She is preceded in death by Parents, one brother and 6 sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30am Saturday at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ with Pastor Terry Ford Presiding. Burial will be held at Restlawn Cemetery.

Visitation time will be held from 9am to 8pm Friday with the family present from 6:30 to 7:30pm to greet friends at Brenneman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers and plants memorial contributions may be sent to First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901
