Ila Fern Oyler

Ila Fern Oyler, 85, died early Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at her residence at Emeritus Liberal Springs in Liberal, KS.

She was born July 16, 1928, at Liberal, KS, the daughter of Irvine and Velma Grabeel.

She married Lloyd Oyler on Jan. 13, 1946, at Garden City, KS. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2007.

After she and Lloyd were married they moved to the farm where she was a farm wife for over 50 years. She last drove a grain truck during the 2007 wheat harvest when she was 80.

She was a member of GRANGE Rural Community Club and the Liberal Nazarene Church.

Her survivors include 2 Sons – Eddie Oyler and wife Phyllis of Liberal, KS, Clinton Oyler and wife Laura Jane of Tyrone, OK, Sister – Hazel Bishop of Oklahoma City, OK. Four Grandchildren: Garret Oyler, Shane Oyler, Kelsi Oyler and Jason Oyler. Two Great Grandchildren: Kaylee Oyler and Jayden Oyler.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Arlen Ankle officiating.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.
