Howard Wayne Crews

Howard Wayne Crews,83 died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Beaver County Nursing Home in Beaver, OK.

He was born November 4, 1931 at Granville, IL, the son of Albert and Molly (Allen) Crews.

He married Donita Nelson on August 17, 1973 at Dumas, TX. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2004.

Howard grew up in Granville, IL and was a graduate of Granville High School. At 19 he then enlisted into the US Marines where he went on to serve in the Korean War. Howard moved to Liberal, KS in the early 70’s. He was a Electrical Engineer for National Beef Packing Co.for 25+ years before retiring in 2000. Howard enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, and was a prolific story teller. He was a member of American Legion, VFW Post 3166.

His survivors include Son, Rodney Nelson and wife Ginger of Guymon, OK; Daughter, Cindy Cockerham of Wichita, KS; Seven Grandchildren including Jenny Crews whom he raised, 15 Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandson.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

There will be no public viewing as Cremation has taken place.
