HL Hanna

HL Hanna, age 72, of Rolla, Kansas died July 15, 2014 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas. He was born July 18, 1941 in Morton, Texas the son of E.C. and Ettie (Martin) Hanna.

HL grew up in Morton, Texas and graduated from Morton High School in 1959. He also attended the University of North Texas. After moving back to Morton, Texas, he married Diann Love on May 21, 1961. He moved to Liberal in 1969 and to Rolla in September of 1975. HL drove a milk truck, was a gas station attendant, and retired from Northern Natural Gas as a meter technician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. He was a member of Jaycees and the Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include two sons, Scott Hanna of Richfield, Kansas; Cole Hanna of Richfield, Kansas; daughter, Ettie Archer of Lamesa, Texas; sisters, Betty Jean Neugebauer of Lubbock, Texas, Bonnie Richardson of San Angelo, Texas, and Doris Richardson of Morton, Texas; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

HL is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Alice Hanna; brothers, Buddy and Royce; and sisters, Pearly Dee and Joyce.

Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Rolla Cemetery in Rolla, Kansas with Pastor Terrell Giddens officiating. The family requests memorials may be given to the Rolla Public Library in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
