Herminia Quintana de Rubio

Herminia Quintana de Rubio, age 66, died Monday February 14, 2022, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal Kansas.

Herminia was born on April 25, 1955, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Gaspar and Juana (Chavez) Quintana.

She married Ramon Rubio Olivas in Mexico in 1974.

She worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken in food preparation and service.

Herminia loved to travel, and really loved the beach. She enjoyed gardening and planting roses. She was always the person who would help anyone in need, and had many good friends. Herminia loved her family, especially her grandkids and supporting their many activities.

Herminia is survived by her husband Ramon of 47 years.
Two Sons; Juan Manuel Rubio Quintana and his wife Jovanna of San Antonio, Texas and Luis Ramon Rubio Quintana and his wife Crisann of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Two Daughters; Nora Asucena Rubio Quintana, and her husband Andy Wilmes of Liberal Kansas and Consuelo Rubio Quintana and her husband Jesus Villegas of Liberal, Kansas
Her Brothers; Gabriel Quintana, Manuel Quintana, Anselmo Quintana, Sixto Quintana.
Sisters; Liboria Ponce, Guadalupe Quintana Chavez, Manuela Silva.

She was the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren; J. Alejandro Rosas Rubio
Suheila S. Rosas Rubio, Yaretzi G. Rosas Rubio, Yaritza G. Rosas Rubio, Kaleb A. Wilmes, N. Aaliyah Wilmes, Azael L. Rubio, Juan M. Rubio, Aylin Gomez, Jayden I. Rubio, Denali A. Rubio, Lailani A. Torres, Jonathan A. Torres, Joseph R. Rubio, Nyobi L. Rubio, and Kaiden E. Rubio, and three great grandchildren.
Herminia was preceded in death by Her Mother and Father, two sisters and two half-sisters.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 West 2nd Street, Liberal Kansas.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday at 7:00 PM Followed by Mass at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2022, both at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 North Calhoun Avenue, Liberal Kansas
Interment will follow the Mass at the Liberal Cemetery.
