Herman Hinkle

Herman Hinkle, age 76, of Ulysses, Kansas died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born December 1, 1936 in Crowell, Texas, the son of Grady T. and Dessie Evelyn (Johnson) Hinkle.
Herman grew up in Texas. On April 7, 1956 he married Joan Bridwell in Johnson, Kansas. He was a heavy equipment operator for Popejoy Construction. Herman enjoyed going camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Ulysses; daughters, Cindy LaFever and husband Greg of Ulysses, Kansas, and Mary Hinkle of Ulysses, Kansas; step-brother, Elza Rogers of Wewoka, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Hinkle; great-grandson, Nathaniel Hinkle; and brothers, A.W. Hinkle, Lawrence Hinkle, and Frank Hinkle.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Ulysses Cemetery with Reverend Bill Harrold officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
