Henry Lane Talbert

Henry Lane Talbert, age 69, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart, Kansas. Henry was born August 20, 1946, in Elkhart, Kansas, the son of Henry Lloyd and Lela Arlene (Whisennand) Talbert.
Lane was a graduate of Yarbrough High School and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He was a long-time resident of the Keyes/Yarbrough, Oklahoma area. Lane was a truck driver and drove a school bus for Yarbrough and Keyes, Oklahoma schools. Lane enjoyed fishing, guns, gunsmithing, and motorcycles. He served on the Yarbrough School Board, and was a proud member of the NRA.
Survivors include three sons; Jody Frazier of Owasso, Oklahoma, Cary Corbin and wife Candace of Guymon, Oklahoma and Anthony Talbert of Guymon, Oklahoma, one daughter; Misty Hines and husband Ryan of Goodwell, Oklahoma, one sister; Sandra Kersey of El Paso, Texas, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Lane is preceded in death by his parents, one son; Timothy Lane Talbert and two brothers; Richard Wayne Talbert and James Lewis Talbert.
Memorial Graveside Service with military rites by VFW Point Rock Post #3162 will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Elkhart Cemetery with Gary Talbert officiating. After the service, the family will receive visitors at the First Baptist Church in Elkhart and a meal will follow. Family suggest memorials be given to American Diabetes Association or the VFW Point Rock Post #3162 of Elkhart, Kansas in care of Garnand Funeral Home, P.O. Box 854, Elkhart, Kansas 67950.
