Henry “Hank” J.R. LeMonnier, age 84, died on, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on September 3, 1939, in Perryton, Texas to Edwin and Ruby Beatrice (Stanger) LeMonnier.

Hank was united in marriage to Marilyn Ann Cox on August 16, 1958, in Las Animas, Colorado. She preceded him in death on August 16, 2014. Hank was the father of four children. He worked as a truck driver delivering groceries and for Nash Finch for over 35 years.

Later in life Hank found love again and married Jane A. Mobley on August 26, 2017, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal, Kansas. She survives. Hank was an avid bowler and kept his yard immaculate and won “Yard of the Week” many times. He was an active member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Liberal.

Hank’s life was well lived, and he was much loved. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jane LeMonnier,

three of his children,

Terri Wenzel and her husband, Doug of Wichita, Kansas,

Eddie LeMonnier and his wife Deana of Beaver, Oklahoma,

Tammi Fronk, and her husband, Darrin of Joppa, Alabama, and

Son-in-law, Max Vangieson of Liberal, Kansas,

Six grandchildren,

Nine Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by

his first wife, Marilyn Ann LeMonnier,

Parents, Edwin and Ruby LeMonnier, and

Daughter, Tina Vangieson.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1200 W. 11th Street, Liberal, Kansas. Reverend Jason Toombs will presided.

A private interment will take place.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, in care of Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
