Helen Jean Yocham, 75, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away in Hooker on July 5, 2018.
Helen was born October 22, 1942 in Wauneta, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Bessie Storms McAlister.
Helen worked at Pride Feeders processing cattle for eighteen years where she had the reputation of working as hard as a man.
In 1991 she returned to Moline, Kansas where she grew up to care for her parents until their passing.
In 2002 Helen moved to Hooker to care for her daughter Vickie until her passing in 2004.
Helen loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing her word search books and watching her TV programs.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Bessie McAlister, daughter, Vickie Duncan, brothers, Wilson, Darrell, and Melvin McAlister, her sisters, Phyllis Hawkins and Darlene Stephenson.
Members of the family include two daughters Dixie Purcell of Hooker, Oklahoma, Cindy Purcell of Optima, Oklahoma; son, Ace Yocham and his wife Cassandra of Hooker, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Natasha Garcia and her husband Ariel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Callie Cribbs of Amarillo, Texas, Mac and Mackenzie of Basehor, Kansas, Renee and William Yocham of Wichita, Kansas, Mikenna and Ryker Yockam of Hooker, Oklahoma; greatgrandchildren, Ezra Purcell-Garcia, Azieale, AnastacioII, and Victoria Garcia all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Tyner Cribbs of Amarillo, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Hooker Cemetery with Bill Newman officiating. Services directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
