Hayward Beauchamp

Hayward Beauchamp, age 85, of Ulysses, Kansas died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born October 21, 1927 in Falls of Rough, Kentucky, the son of John and Shellie (Wilson) Beauchamp.
Hayward grew up in Kentucky. He served from 1951 until 1953 as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an elevator manager for Collingwood Grain in Johnson, Kansas from 1966 until his retirement in 1996. On April 24, 1982 he married Donna Hardin. Hayward enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, dogs, antique tractor pulls, and traveling to Branson, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Ulysses, Kansas; sons, Keith Beauchamp and wife Karen of Olathe, Kansas, Kevin Beauchamp of McPherson, Kansas, Kent Beauchamp of Johnson, Kansas, Kelly Beauchamp of Canon City, Colorado; daughter, Kara Cravens and husband Russ of Minot, North Dakota; sister, Edna Ferry and husband E.B. of Leitchfield, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Hayward is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial graveside service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson, Kansas with Pastor Gerry Dupuis officiating and military rites conducted by the Johnson VFW Post #3684. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
