Harold Lee Minter, 82, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed December 13, 2016 at his home.
Harold was born June 13, 1934 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Abner and Thelma Davis Minter. He attended school and graduated in Houston, Texas.
At age fourteen, Harold began working as a pipeliner, which he did until his marriage. He was united in marriage to Pasty Lou Jacobs on July 17, 1956 in Clayton, New Mexico. He entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. When he was honorably discharged he worked for two years and then re enlisted in the Army for a number of years.
He pipelined all over the world, Middle East, South America, Africa to name a few.
Harold owned the Hooker Truck Service, worked for Beech Aircraft in Liberal, Kansas. He was a 32 degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy, December 26, 1997, his three daughters, Diana Minter, Dennette Tindell and Dana Minter.
Survivors include his son, Mark Minter of Hooker, Oklahoma; daughter, Donna and her husband, John Atchison of Dallas, Georgia; sister, Iris Pitts Farmer of Brenham, Texas; eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Hooker Cemetery with Pastor Steve Lehew of the First Church of the Nazarene in Guymon, Oklahoma officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen for Breast Cancer research in memory of Harold’s wife, Patsy and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
