Guymon Bohannan

Guymon Bohanan, 91, Liberal, KS , died Wednesday, November 23,
2011 at the Wheatridge Park Care Center, Liberal, KS.
He was born February 3, 1920 at Eva, OK, the son of Pleas & Ada Lee
Bohanan.
He graduated high school at Guymon, OK in 1938, and worked for
Beech Aircraft, Wichita, KS for many years. He moved Liberal in 1953 where owned and operated Bohanan Welding and retired in 1985.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and
the Fargo Lodge #300, Liberal.
He married Wilma Ferne Craig July 23, 1944 at Guymon, OK, she
died December 3, 2004.
He is survived by one son Mitch Bohanan and wife Kris, Colwich, KS;
one daughter, Emma Jean (E. J.) Salley and husband Bill, Liberal, KS; one sister, Vera Hill, TX; three grandchildren, Shelly Jarrett and husband Larry,
Wichita, KS; Shawn Salley and wife Christina, Ft. Collins, CO;
Ashley Bohanan and Michael Evans, Haysville, KS; one great-grandson Silas Evans; three sisters-in-law, Jewel Bohanan, Amarillo, TX; Jeanne Craig, Oklahoma City; Virginia Craig, Duncan, OK. He was preceded in death by
his parents, three brothers, two sisters, a grandson, Bart Bohanan.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday
at the First United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Randall and
Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Interment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery, Guymon, OK.
Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 1-8 P.M. Friday with family present togreet friends 6:30-8 P.M., and 9-11 A.M. Saturday.
The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Children’s
Hospital in care of the mortuary.
