Glenna Alice Nix climbed up the stairway to heaven with her bare feet to rejoice her Savior and her loved ones on May 23, 2024 at Pioneer Manor, Hugoton, Kansas. Glenna was born on December 29, 1929 to Elmer and Lucille Munkres in Meno, Oklahoma.
She graduated at Liberal High School in 1948. On September 4, 1948, she married Paul Nix, in Clayton, New Mexico. From this day forward Glenna was a loyal farmers wife till Paul’s death in 2014.
Glenna is survived by her two sons, Dennis Nix and wife Jolene, of Olathe, KS, David Nix and wife Kathy, of Hugoton, KS; grandchildren, Melissa Nix; Driscoll Nix and wife Shauna; 7 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rosa Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Nix; granddaughter, Holly; five sisters, Janice, Bernice, Phyllis, Sue and Norma; three brothers, Cleele, James and Robert.
She was a member of Lonestar Friends Church. Her hobbies included china painting, sewing, embroidering, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, and planting flowers.
Paul and Glenna traveled all over the country camping in an RV and flying to numerous places.
Per Glenna’s wishes there will be no funeral services, “Just remember me.”
A memorial has been established for Lone Star Friends Church, in the care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas 67951.
