Glendena Lieuallen

Glendena Nadine Lieuallen, age 84, of Johnson, Kansas died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson, Kansas. She was born July 7, 1926 at Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Lillian (MacPherson) Lay.

Glendena was a homemaker and lived most of her adult life in San Bernardino, California. On October 4, 1947, she married George Lieuallen in Quartzite, Arizona. She moved to Stanton County in 1999. Glendena enjoyed crocheting, making flower arrangements, playing the piano, and listening to music.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanette Hildebrandt and husband Ron of Pinon Hills, California; two brothers, Elton Lay of Silverton, Oregon, Charles Lay III of Phelan, California; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Glendena is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Deborah Golub-Hines; three sisters, Zola, Donna May, Patricia; four brothers, Verl, Charles, twin brothers; and grandson, Michael Golub.

Graveside service will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson, Kansas with Pastor A.C. Palmer officiating. There will be no public visitation. Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855 is in charge of arrangements.
