Glenard Gregory Turpin, age 89, died October 12, 2018 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born March 13, 1929, in Colorado Springs, CO the son of Rufus and Iona (Meyers) Turpin.
He graduated from Canton High School, Canton, OH in 1947.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army.
On March 7, 1964, he married Janet Arlene Thibos in Las Cruces, NM. She died July 27, 1983.
He was owner and operator of Turpin’s Carpet Cleaning Service and co-owner of Complete Carpet Care in Liberal, KS
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Fargo Masonic Lodge #300, in Liberal, KS, Wichita Scottish Rite and Wichita Midian Shrine.

Joseph Turpin and wife Brenda Granbury, TX
1 Daughter Jana Turpin Norfolk, NE
1 Brother Richard Turpin Seminole, FL
2 Sisters Evelyn Snyder Canton, OH
Laura Stockberger Ashville, NC
6 Grandchildren Christopher Turpin, Cody Smith, Brittney Colvin, Holly Owens, Audri Westbrook and Lyndi Hughes and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Wife Janet Turpin, Brother Maywood Turpin, Brother Whitley Turpin, Brother Charles Turpin, Sister Betty Hearn, Sister Anna Angello, Brother Carl Turpin, Sister Gloria Arrant, Brother Bill Turpin and Grandson Grady Owens.
Visitation will be 5 -8 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 with the family present to greet friends at Brenneman Funeral Home to greet friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Liberal, KS with Pastor’s Jason Ramsey and David Bagwell presiding. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal, KS
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the First Baptist Church, in Liberal, in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
