Glen C. “Curtie” Bridenstine , 88, died May 7, 2015 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.
He was born April 29, 1927 at Hobart, OK, the son of Vernis and Ida (Wilhoit) Bridenstine. He graduated from high school in Albuquerque, NM.
He was a life long farmer in the Oklahoma panhandle’s Beaver and Texas counties.
He was a member of Trinity Faith Church in Liberal.
On August 27, 1947, he married Thelma Irene Wilkerson in Albuquerque, NM. Thelma died January 14, 2014.
Survivors include:
2 Sons-Merle Bridenstine and wife Shirley of Tyrone, OK;
Galen Bridenstine and wife Roberta of Turpin, OK;
2 Brothers – Jack Bridenstine and wife Jimmie of Alamogordo, NM;
Rod Bridenstine of Norman, OK;
1 Sister – Martha Belle Howell and husband Kennon of Albuquerque, NM;
2 Sisters-in-law – Avis Bridenstine of Iowa City, IA;
Ann Bridenstine of Athens, AL;
13 Grandchildren;
16 Great-Grandchildren;
1 Great-Great Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers – Clive and Larry Bridenstine; 3 Sisters – Joan Cannon, Beverly Graves and Barbara Vickery; Sister-in-law- Joyce Bridenstine and Brothers-in-law – Dick Graves and Lee Vickery.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 at Trinity Faith Church, 1750 S. Kansas in Liberal with Rev. Bridgewater presiding. Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery in Adams, OK.
Visitation will be 9 am – 8 pm Saturday and 1 – 5 pm Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
