Gladis Arcelia Antillon Garcia, age 46, of Johnson, Kansas, died Thursday, December 1, 2022, in Stanton County, Kansas. She was born May 20, 1976, in Nicolás Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Jose Antillon and Arcelia Garcia.

Gladis grew up in Mexico and came to the United States when she was in her 20’s. She married Osman Estrada in Johnson in March of 2016. She drove a truck for the local dairies. Gladis was an outgoing person and loved to be with family and friends. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandkids. Gladis also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, drinking coffee and playing games on her phone. She will be remembered for being a hard worker and loving personality.

She is survived by her husband, Osman of their home; children, Katia Martinez of Wichita, Oscar Jesus Madrid of Wichita, Kimberly Madrid of Wichita, and Anna Marie Estrada of Spearman, Texas; grandchildren, Giovanni Martinez, Luka Martinez, Brooklyn Martinez, and Oscar Aurelio Madrid-Luna; brothers, Elier Antillon, Jose Antillon, Guirmo Antillon, and Fidel Antillon; sisters, Alma Ruiz, Letty Banda, Olivia Rascon, Chaly Banda and Sulma Martinez.  

Gladis is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Antillon and Arcelia Garcia; and siblings, Oscar Antillon and Imelda Cota.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson, Kansas, with Pastor Angel Ventura officiating. Inurnment will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 9, 2022, at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
