Gerald Glen Nosekabel, 93, of Kismet, passed away on Thursday January 4, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
He was born on October 11, 1930 to Walter and Alice (Duvall) Nosekabel at Randolph, IA.
On July 31, 1954 he married Carole Omer at Glenwood, IA.; she preceded him in death on February 17, 2005.
Glen grew up on a farm and was a graduate of Randolph High School; class of 1949.He enlisted and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. In 1954 he went to work in the Beef Packing Industry from which he retired from as a Supervisor with National Beef Packing Co. in 1992. Glen and Carole moved to Kismet, KS in 1970. He was a member of the Liberal Bassmasters Club, Liberal Bowling League, and Coached Men’s League Softball. Glen enjoyed cooking burgers during the Kismet Little Worlds Fair, loved fishing, and being with his family.
Glen is survived by his Son, Bret Nosekabel and wife Koleen of Kismet, KS; Daughter, Lisa Warden of Broken Arrow, OK; Sister, Peggy Greenwood of Kismet, KS; Eight Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his Son, Steve Nosekabel, Two Brothers, Gene Nosekabel and Cleo Nosekabel, Son In Law, Dennis Warden,
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, Kansas with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Kismet Methodist Church with Pastor Terry Mayhew, officiating. Burial will follow at the Kismet Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions be made payable to the Kismet Methodist Church in care of Miller mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal ,KS 67905-0826.
