George C. Curry, 79, Turpin, OK , died Sunday, October 2, 2011
at his home.

He was born November 18, 1931 at Kendrick, OK, the son of
W. A. "Art" & Margaret E. Gallaway Curry.

He graduated from Kendrick High School in 1949. He owned and operated
his own trucking company for twenty years, later he drove truck for
Jimmie Rogers for ten years, he had been employed by Engel Oil Co. and Perryton Equity retiring in 1993. After retirement he worked at USD #480 food service.

In his spare time he enjoyed farming, dancing, and spending time with
family and friends.

Survivors include his care giver Rosie Preeo, Turpin, OK; two sons, Dennis Curry and Sharon Grimm, Cheyenne, WY ; Roger Curry and LaDonna Mongold, Turpin, OK; one daughter, Connie Jo Jordan and Ken Smith, Turpin, OK; one brother Dean Curry
and wife Fredia, Chandler , OK; two sisters, Linda Crail and husband
Troy , Austin, TX ; Debbie Kane and husband Dave, Luther, OK;
six grandchildren, Travis Curry and Stacy Smith, Liberal; Shane Curry and wife Cathy, Shattuck, OK ; Toni Douglas and husband Todd, IL ; Matthew Curry, Cheyenne, WY; Jami Curry and Jeremy Waldbauer & Jill Curry and Jacob Strenger, Laramie, WY ; six great-grandchildren, Daylen, Kylie, Melanie Chandler, Marlow, OK ; Ashley Curry, League City, TX ; Alec James Curry, Liberal, KS ; Oliver Reed Strenger, Laramie WY; one step-granddaughter Summer Stipson, Liberal, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and
his long-time companion Imogene Studdard.

Memorial service will be conducted 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at
Miller Chapel with Rev. Jack Jacob presiding.

The family suggests memorials to the donor’s choice in care of the
mortuary.
