Geneva Ramos, age 69, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Monday, September 20, 2021, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born October 27, 1951, in Shallowater, Texas, the daughter of Marcelino B. Sr., and Genabeba (Felan) Pauda.
Geneva grew up in Texas. She married Tony Ramos on June 25, 1987, in Ulysses, Kansas. Geneva enjoyed being a homemaker, loved to dance, play Bingo, cook for her family, and crocheting. She was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.
Geneva is survived by her children, Eva Sierra and husband Martin of Ulysses, Irene Garcia and husband Lauro of Ulysses, Esther Aguilera and husband Sergio of Garden City, Nora Garcia and husband Bene of Ulysses, Adam Pauda of Ulysses, David Ramos and wife Reanna of Amarillo, Texas, Issac Pauda and wife Cristina of Ulysses, Amy Orosco and husband Daniel of Ulysses, Lillie Ramos and Scott of Ulysses, and Antonio Ramos of Ulysses; brothers, Jesse Joe Pauda of Lubbock, Texas, Louie Pauda and wife Olga of Ulysses, Joe Luis Pauda of Ulysses, Angel Pauda and wife Ronda of Ulysses, Albert Pauda of Jetmore, Bill Pauda and wife LaRisa of Liberal, and Sammy Pauda and wife Michelle of Ulysses; sister, Irene Pauda of Ulysses; sisters-in-law, Elia Pauda of Ulysses, and Norma Pauda of Lakin; 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tony in 2011; brothers, Robert Pauda and Marcelino Pauda, Jr.; sisters, Dominga Esquivel and Irma Pando; and great-granddaughter, Seriah Garcia.
Visitation is Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home. Rosary Service is Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 7:00 PM and Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 10:30 AM both at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Reverend Charles Seiwert officiating. Funeral mass will be streamed live on Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.
