Geneva Lori Bruner, 98, passed away on February 8, 2019 at Wheatridge Care Park in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born on February 8, 1921 to Harry and Nora (Ferguson) Stoddard in Union County, New Mexico.

She married John Bruner on November 14, 1942; he preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.

She was a wife and stay at home mother for many years, She worked as a Cook at the Kismet Grade School until going out to Southwestern Heights. She served as a Cook and the Head Cook until her retirement in 1981. Geneva was a member of the Kismet United Methodist Church in Kismet, where she was also a member of the UMW at the church.

She is survived by two children- Daughter, Nancy Louderback and husband Larry of Rural Liberal, KS; Son, Jay Bruner of Elkhart, KS; Six Grandchildren- Jeff Louderback and wife Teresa of Liberal, KS; Justin Louderback and wife Jackie of Cheyenne, WY; Sarah Jo Lemons and husband Jake of Comanche, OK; Robin Coffman and husband Brad of Sayre, OK; Michael Bruner and wife Sandy of Tyrone, OK; David Bruner and wife Kim of Yampa, CO. 14 Great Grandchildren and Four Great-Great Grandchildren. Two Brothers- JD Stoddard of Liberal, KS and Ralph Stoddard of Hugoton, KS; many Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter-in-Law- Sondra Bruner, Four Brothers, Three Sisters, and several Nieces & Nephews.

Viewing will be 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS.

Funeral Services will be 1:30pm Wednesday, February 13, 2019 ,at the Kismet United Methodist Church in Kismet, KS.

Burial will follow at the Kismet Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Kismet United Methodist Church.
