GeJuan Jane Martin

GeJuan Jane Martin, age 60, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at her home in Ulysses. She was born April 17, 1963, in Ulysses, Kansas, the daughter of Donald Lee and Kathryn Jane (Bangs) Eddie.

GeJuan grew up in Ulysses and graduated with the Ulysses High School Class of 1981. She married Dennis Martin on July 31, 1982, in Ulysses. GeJuan always kept busy and owned and operated GeJuan’s Daycare for 30 years. She was very active at Oasis Church, and enjoyed helping with the Kid’s Ministry. GeJuan loved her family and grandkids and treasured the time she spent with them.

GeJuan is survived by her husband, Dennis of their home; son, Wes Martin and wife Courtney of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Melanie Ledesma and husband Victor, Jr. of Ulysses; brother, Rodney Eddie and wife Paula of South Carolina; sister, Floydean Bender and husband Blaine of Pratt; four grandchildren, Braylee, McKynlee, Braxton and Presley; and her many nieces and nephews that were very dear to her.

GeJuan is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Jane Eddie; brothers, Tim, Donald and Scott Eddie.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Oasis Church in Ulysses with Pastor Andy McMillan officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family present from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorial contributions may be given to the Kid’s Ministry at Oasis Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
