Frank Arthur Martinez, age 78, passed away late Sunday evening, April 28, 2024, at his Plains, Kansas, residence.
He was born January 18, 1946, at La Junta, Colorado, the son of Pedro Frank and Rose Adeline (Galloges) Martinez. As a young boy he attended school in Guymon, Oklahoma, graduating from Guymon High School in 1964. A resident of Plains since 2018, he had worked for several lumber-yards and Wal-Mart as a stockman and greeter.
He was a member of the All Nations Pentecostal Church of Liberal, Kansas. He enjoyed attending church, listening to music, dancing, sewing, building many various items, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.
On July 18, 1964, he married Irene Perez at Guymon, Oklahoma. She survives.
Other survivors include five grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob, Michael, Natasha, and Christopher; seventeen great-grandchildren; twelve siblings, Bobby, Jerry, Effie, Steve, Dennis, Stella, Rose, Donald, Wilma, Andrea, DeAnna, and Pedro.
He is preceded in death by two children, Frank Christopher and Bernadine Marie; a grandson, Christopher; his parents; and three siblings, Rudolph, Mercedes, and Irene.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Believer’s Ministry, 1071 Clay Ave, Liberal, Kansas.
