Floyd Eugene Tedford

Floyd Eugene Tedford, age 78, died April 19, 2015 at his residence in Liberal, KS. He was born on June 17, 1936 in Medicine Lodge, KS, the son of Carl Jasper and Lilly Marie (Crellin) Tedford.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1954. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1962 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He resided in Liberal during his childhood and early married life, later living in Salina, KS and Alamosa, CO. He returned to Liberal in 1993.
He was a dealer for Massey- Ferguson Tractors and Farm Equipment. He was the owner and operator of Ala Vista Farm Center near Alamosa, CO and Tedford Supply in Liberal, KS. He retired in 2014.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 – 1958.
He was a member of the Liberal Elks Lodge BPOE #1947, the Alamosa Presbyterian Church, Alamosa, CO. and a former member of the Kiwanis Club, and the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
He married Deanna Webster Tedford on February 14, 1960.
Survivors include
1 Son Matthew Tedford
1 Daughter Susan Galen and husband Steve Bentonville, AR
1 Brother Bryce Tedford and wife Sarah Oklahoma
5 Grandchildren Matthew Fliney, Beau Tedford, Madison Tedford, Stephanie Galen and Sam Galen.
He was preceded in death by his parents 1 Brother Mervin Tedford and 1 Sister Carlene Kirkpatrick.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 16, 2015, at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Liberal, KS, with Pastor Terry Ford presiding. Cremation has taken.
A guest register book will be available for signing 11:00 am – 5:00 pm Friday, May 15th, 2015.
