Florence Joan Randle

Florence Joan Randle age 83, of Hugoton, Kansas died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas She was born September 15, 1928 at Fort Scott, Kansas the daughter of Joe and Mary (Hattabaugh) King.

Joan graduated from Pratt High School in Pratt , Kansas in 1946 and on December 7, 1946 she married her high school sweetheart Larry G. Randle in Pratt , Kansas . After marriage, Joan and Larry moved to Hugoton , Kansas and began their farming career. She worked on the farm with her husband while raising three sons.

Joan was an artist and enjoyed painting oil and water paintings. She continued to take art lessons until 2008 and displayed many of her paintings at state and local shows.

She is survived by her husband, Larry of Hugoton, Kansas ; three sons, Joe and wife Lenoir of Corinth, Texas, David and Teresa of Hays, Kansas , Mark and Sherri of Hugoton, Kansas . eight grandchildren, Chris, Matthew, Jeffrey, Jason, Tammie, Angela, Davesa, and Shayla; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jean Bergner.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 30, 2011at 2:00 p.m. at the Hugoton Assembly of God in Hugoton , Kansas with Lenoir Randle officiating. Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton , Kansas . Friends may call at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton , Kansas on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials be given to the Hugoton Relay for Life in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S.
