Felicia Macheil Holmes

Felicia Macheil Holmes, 43, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born September 18, 1970 at Liberal, KS, the daughter of Dorothy (Jefferson) Shelton.

She married Kenny Holmes on May 20, 1991 at Liberal. He survives.

Felicia attended Liberal High School and had worked at many places in Liberal including Liberal Good Samaritan Center, Convenience Plus and Seward County Community College. She loved to sing, cook, sew, doing hair and enjoying life! She was a member of New Life Baptist Church Choir and the Turpin Baptist Church.

She is also survived by two sons- Kenny Holmes Jr. and Keison Holmes; one daughter – Kendra Holmes all of Turpin, Oklahoma; two sisters – Wanda Love of Liberal, KS; Lamikia Shelton of Amarillo, TX; many nieces, nephews, extended friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father; one daughter – Kynna Holmes; two grandfathers.

Visitation will be Wednesday July 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Miller Mortuary.

Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Thursday July 24th at the Turpin Baptist Church with Pastor John Moses celebrating.

The family suggests memorials to the Felicia Holmes Memorial in care of Miller Mortuary.
