Everett Leon Baker, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at his home in Liberal.

He was born March 23, 1933 to Benjamin Clayton and Eloise (Dunlap) Baker in Floris, Oklahoma.

He married Thelda Dean Scott Oct. 9, 1952 in Perryton, Texas. She survives.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 1951.

He was a member of the the First Church of God in Liberal.

He owned and operated Baker Concrete Construction Company for more than 40 years.

He also owned and operated a tool and saw-sharpening service for the past 13 years.

Survivors also include son, Benjamin Baker, Liberal; daughters, Vicky Crosby and husband, Dewayne, Liberal, and Rhonda Montez and husband, Dwayne, Liberty, Missouri; sister, Betty Oglesby and husband, Jack, Liberal; three grandchildren: Rusty Baker, Chad Montez and Chelsey Montez; and great-grandchildren, Gianna and Emilia Montez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Doris Adams and Evelyn Miller.

• There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

There will be a private family inurnment at later date.
