Everett Dean Betts

Everett Dean Betts, age 15, passed away on August 1, 2024, at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado.

He was born on April 26, 2009, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Scott and Betsy (Quail) Betts.

Everett was a dedicated student who finished his freshman year at Hugoton High School. Despite his young age, he had already shown great promise in various fields. He was a proud member of the Junior National Honor Society. Beyond the classroom, Everett participated in football, powerlifting, and golf. His passion for academics and athletics exemplified his determination and drive to always push himself to new heights.

Everett was a beloved youth group member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Liberal and Bethel Friends Church in Hugoton, Kansas. His faith was a guiding light in his life, shaping him into the kind-hearted and compassionate individual that he was known to be by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Although Everett’s time with us was cut short, his memory will live on through all those whose lives he touched.

Uncle and Aunt, Colton and Rachel Quail of Brookfield, Missouri,

Aunt and Uncle, Melissa and Daniel Paalhar of Marceline, Missouri,

Seven cousins,

Morgan Paalhar, Hannah Paalhar, Bryce Paalhar, Nylah Quail, Bentlee Betts, Blayden Betts, and Bristol Betts.

Everett was preceded in death by his

Grandfathers, Steve Betts and Dan Evans,

Uncle, Dustin Betts, and

Grandmother, Becky Betts

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 621 N. Western, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 9, 2024 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 621 N. Western, Liberal, Kansas. Pastor Todd Brown will be presiding.
