Eugene Edward “Gene” Hall, age 89, died February 10, 2019 at Homestead Estates Home Plus in Liberal, KS. He was born April 16, 1929 in Rozel, KS, the son of Russell Raymond and Theodora (Eddy) Hall.

He graduated from Rozel High School, Rozel, KS. He married Willa May Munkirs on January 10, 1953, in in Harrison, AR. She survives.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, from August 1950 to July 1954.

He worked for the Helium Plant in Keyes, OK as a mechanic in the Oil and Gas Industry. He also worked at National Beef Packing Company as a mechanic.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Liberal and the Liberal Redskin Band Booster Club. He was That Liberal Band “Grandpa” for many years.

Survivors include:

2 Sons David Eugene Hall and wife Cindy Liberal, KS

Karl Wayne Hall Liberal, KS

1 Daughter Phyllis McCarter and husband Kent Liberal, KS

1 Brother Larry Hall and wife Joan Kingman, KS

9 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson.

He was preceded in death by his Father Russell Raymond Hall and Mother Theodora (Eddy) Hall Dennis, Step-Father Clyde Dennis 1 Daughter Rose Mary Bushell, 1 Brother Donald Hall, 2 Sisters Elizabeth Daniels and Marjorie Unruh, 1 Great-Granddaughter Alyne Rowson and Step-Father Clyde Dennis.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church, in Liberal, KS, with Pastor Keith Anglemyer presiding. Burial will be in the Liberal Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13th, with family present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the First United Methodist Church or Homestead Estates Home Plus in care of the Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
