Estelene Ruth Hoddy

Estelene Ruth Hoddy, 80, died Monday, August 24, 2020 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. She was born on September 11, 1939 in Greeley, CO, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Schwartz) Heronemus.
On December 17, 1967, she married Roscoe R. Hoddy in Liberal, KS. He survives.
Estelene worked as a bookkeeper at Clingan Tire for 34 years.

She was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church. She would oversee family reunions and make sure that they were perfect. She collected Angels and Christmas Village pieces. She loved having Christmas Eve at her home, baking trays of Xmas goodies and always made sure everyone had a gift, even if they were unexpected.

Estelene was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lee, Harold and Alvin Heronemus, sister in law Wanda Heronemus, sister Evelyn and brother in law George Powell, Grandson Richard Yorio, great grandchildren Kena and Kalen Baker.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 12pm to 7pm, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 1pm Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Andrew Wehing presiding. Burial to follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
