Ernest Kinney, age 76, died July 12, 2011 at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK.
He was born on August 13, 1934, at Beaver, OK , the son of Roy Lee and Bessie (Mealer) Kinney.
He attended school at Turpin, OK .
He worked for Yellow Freight for 34 years, as a long haul driver, until his retirement in 2006, getting transferred to Oklahoma City in 1993. Ernest Acquired 4 million safe miles without an accident.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 thru 1957 & served in the Army Reserves until 1961. He was also a farmer in Beaver County .
On January 15, 1955 he married Esther Roth in Liberal, KS . She survives.

1 Son: Michael Kinney of Wichita, KS .
2 Grandsons: Kelly Foster and wife Sandy of Des Moines, IA ,
Jeffrey Kinney of Wichita, KS.
1 Granddaughter: Annie Kinney of Wichita, KS,
2 Great Grandsons: Sawyer Foster
Jesse Kinney.
1 Sister: Ora Kinney of Oklahoma City, OK.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W. 2nd., Liberal, KS , with Pastor Wyatt Carpenter presiding, burial will be in Liberal Cemetery. Military Honor will be presented by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 9 – 8 pm Friday with the family to receive friends from 6—8 pm.
