Emilio Olivas – Hermosillo, 78, of Liberal, passed away on May 26, 2017 at his residence in Liberal.

He was born on April 5, 1939 to Santiago Olivas and Teresa ( Hermosillo) at Chihuhua, Mexico. Emilio worked as a Labor Foreman for Supreme Feeders for 39 years.

He is survived by three sons: Anthony Garcia and wife Veronica of Liberal. Edward Olivas and wife Durina of Pheonix, Arizona. Emilio Olivas, Jr. of Fort Supply, Oklahoma. Five Daughters Genevieve Rodriguez and husband Francisco of Liberal. Adela Vargas and husband Raul of Casa Grande, Arizona. Lucia Applebee and husband Michael of Liberal. Deborah Castillo Garcia also of Liberal. Teresa Banuelos of Derby, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Spouse, Esther Rasalita Olivas. Two sons: Fernando Luther Garcia, Abraham Bernado Garcia. One Brother Nicolas Olivas,

Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 5:00pm Wednesday at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, KS.

Rosary/Vigil Service will be at 7:00pm Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 10:00 am at the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Fr. James P Dieker, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church .
