Emilee Megan Grayce Hamilton

Emilee Megan Grayce Hamilton, 15, of Liberal, KS passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

She was born on December 5, 2008, to Elisha (Waide) Hamilton in Liberal, KS. Emilee was a Sophomore at Southwestern Heights High School, where she excelled. She was active in KAYS, Student Council (STUCO), FCCLA, FFA, Show Choir, Band, Jazz Band, Choir, National Honor Society (NHS), Kansas Musical Educators Association (KMEA), and Cheerleading. She made the “A” Honor Roll this year. She served as STUCO Representative and Softball Manager for the 2024 season. She also played volleyball in prior years. In 2023, she became a member of the Liberal Police Dept Cadet Program. As a Cadet, she was always the first to volunteer, even if it scared her.

Emilee was determined, stubborn, sassy, loving, and so, so sweet and caring. She instantly lit up a room with her vibrant personality, infectious laugh, and oh that smile. She will forever be missed, but she will be forever loved. She left a little sparkle wherever she went.

Emilee is survived by her Mother, Elisha Hamilton of Liberal, KS; Brother, Eli Hamilton, Sister, Embree Hamilton; Grandparents, Vernon Waide of Liberal, KS, Kenny Furr of Crescent, OK, Brandy Farnsworth of Woodward, OK, David Hamilton (Mary) of Wellington, KS, Leigh Ann Barber (Thomas) of Tyrone, OK; Honorary Grandparents Stan and Cheri Reiss of Kismet, KS; Uncle Ethan Waide (Trinity) of Gilmer, TX, Aunt Faron Gilkey (Jeremiah) of Guymon, OK, Rena Jackson (Christopher) of Colorado Springs, CO, Gina Trichak (Mike) of Colorado Springs, CO, Aunt Jenny Chase (Jason) of Kismet, KS; Uncles: Raydan Furr of Crescent, OK, Ronnie Torrez (Lindsay) of Wichita KS; Aunts: Breanna Furr of Crescent, OK, Ashleigh Bond (Andy) of Tyrone, OK, Brandee Furr of Tyrone OK, Tasha Hubbard (Johnny) of Wichita, KS, Monique Harris (Davis) of Wichita, KS; numerous great aunts, great uncles, and lots and lots of cousins. Emilee will be missed by the multitude of friends and fellow classmates on which she leaves a lifelong lasting impact.

Emilee was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Kit Grote, Great Grandparents, Glendon and Elrain Wear, Uncle, Chance Waide, Aunt, Megan Reiss, Cousins, Asher Nunn, and Paisley Wear.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Miller Mortuary.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Southwestern Heights Gymnasium.

Burial will follow at the Plains Cemetery.
