Emeryl Ann (Windmill) Morris

Emeryl Ann (Windmill) Morris, age 82, of Johnson, Kansas died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson, Kansas. She was born July 14, 1933 in Lamar, Colorado, the daughter of Emery and Jewell (Davidson) Windmill.
Emeryl was a 1951 graduate of Stanton County High School. On July 25, 1953, she married Clarence Junior (Ark) Morris. To this union, four children were born; Leilah, Larry, Doug and Brenda. Emeryl was employed by Renick Pharmacy in Garden City, Ft. Hays Pharmacy in Hays, and Emery’s Drug Store in Johnson. Prior to her illness onset 25 years ago, she was a bus driver for USD #214 for 21 years transporting handicap children. Emeryl was an avid sports fan and cheered for her teams as long as she was able.
She is survived by her husband, Ark of the home; sons, Larry Morris and wife Trish of Johnson, Kansas, Doug Morris and wife Natasha of Lamar, Colorado; daughters, Leilah Butt and husband Vernon of Manter, Kansas, Brenda Wolf and husband Troy of Johnson, Kansas; sister, Janet Pearson of Ulysses, Kansas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Emeryl is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Charlene Garrison.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson, Kansas with Reverend Richard Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
