Emagene “Genie” Bruce

Emagene “Genie” Bruce, age 86, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado.
She was born May 29, 1931 in Liberal, Kansas the daughter of Gene and Iona Bell (Fellers) Warden. she graduated from Liberal High School. Genie married Euty Farice Bruce, Jr. on July 9, 1950 in Liberal. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2013. She was a homemaker and a devout Christian. She was a member of the Church of Christ and during her time in Liberal very devoted to the Bus Out Reach Ministry to bring youth to church. She had a passion for serving in other youth ministry and senior citizens programs. Genie served as the choir director at the Liberal Senior Center. Longtime residents of Liberal Genie and Farice moved to Colorado in 2003.

She is survived by Her;
Son: Doug Bruce and his wife Karen of Houma, Louisiana.
Daughters: Theresa Kae Kerr and her husband Ron of Fort Collins, Colorado
Connie Bruce of Concord, Massachusetts
Pam Payton and her husband Troy of Liberal, Kansas
She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday January 20, 2018 at the Brenneman Family Chapel with Richard Dent presiding. Interment will follow at the Rest Lawn Cemetery.
