Eloisa Martinez

Eloisa Martinez, 53, died August 21, 2021, in Mission, Texas. She was born September 16, 1967, in Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Esteban and Maria (Rodriguez) Gaytan.

Elosia grew up in Mexico. She married Juan Martinez on June 25, 1982. They moved to Rolla 10 years ago. Eloisa enjoyed going to the casino. She was an accomplished cook and she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Elosia is survived by her husband, Juan of their home; sons, Juan Martinez of Texas, Andres Martinez of Rolla, and Guadalupe Martinez of Rolla; daughters, Maria Martinez of Rolla, Janie Martinez of Hugoton, Jennifer Martinez of Rolla, and San Juanita Martinez of Rolla; mother, Maria Rodriguez of Johnson; six siblings; and grandchildren, Eloisa Ortiz, Juan Ortiz, Ruby Ortiz, Paola Tinoco, and Juan Tinoco.

Eloisa is preceded in death by her father, Esteban.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart. Interment will follow at the Rolla Cemetery in Rolla. Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart. Arrangements are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
