Eleanor Kuhn

Eleanor Kuhn, age 86, of Ulysses, Kansas died Monday, May 18, 2015 at her home in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born April 3, 1929 in Gorme, Kansas, the daughter of Michael and Mary Brungardt.
Eleanor grew up near Gorme on the farm. She married Sylvester Kuhn on February 3, 1948. Eleanor started working at Charley Binney’s Store and retired in 1991 from Jack & Jill in the bakery department. She also was a cook at local restaurants. Eleanor was a member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, active in the Grant County Senior Center, enjoyed playing Bingo and Bunko, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Ann Koehn of Ulysses, Kansas, Patty Lundblade of Meade, Kansas, Linda Milam and husband Jackie of Lincoln, Alabama; sons, Jim Kuhn, Tom Kuhn, JR Kuhn and wife Linda all of Ulysses, Kansas, Mike Kuhn and wife Lori of Grand Island, Nebraska; adopted son, Richard Banes; two brothers, Bob Brungardt of Seward, Nebraska, Joe Brungardt of Fort Scott, Kansas; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sylvester on February 2, 1995; four brothers, and one sister.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Reverend Peter Fernandez officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorial contributions may be given to Grant County Senior Center in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
