Eldon W. Brown, 83, of Wichita, KS died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center.
He was born February 18, 1930 at Liberal, KS, the son of Homer and Maria (Tuman) Brown.
Eldon attended Liberal schools and later joined the Navy in 1947, serving in the Philippines as a Tel-A-Type until 1948 at Sangley Point Naval Base.
In 1949 thru 1950 he was stationed in Tacoma Washington.
He was called back to serve during the Korea conflict from 1952 to 1954 and was on the USS Consolation as a Radio Operator where he performed Morris code.
He married Jean Casady in 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on August 18, 1996.
He was a Design Engineer for Beech Aircraft retiring in 1992 after 42 years.
His survivors include 2 Step Daughters – Pamula Lehner and husband Howard of Haven, KS; Debra Rickard and husband Jeff of Denver, CO. 1 Step Son – Richard Casady and wife Erlinda of W. Toluca Lake, CA.
2 Grandsons, 2 Great Grandsons and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday September 25th at Liberal City Cemetery with Pastor Jack Jacob officiating. There will be no public visitation.
