Edwin “Tuffy” Vern Weeks

Edwin "Tuffy" Vern Weeks, 88, Satanta, KS, died Saturday, January 28, 2012,
at Satanta District Hospital, Satanta, KS.

He was born May 8, 1923 in Haskell County, KS, the son of
D. G. & Vera Woodrow Weeks.

He graduated high school in Garden City and attended the
Garden City Community College. Edwin was a lifelong resident of Haskell
County, farmed near Sublette and moved to Satanta in 1963 and retired in 1990. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

He married Juanita E. Stucker on May 26, 1945 at Garden City, KS,
she survives.

In addition to his wife Juanita Weeks; he is survived by two sons,
Bruce Weeks, Hutchinson, KS; Brad Weeks, Satanta, KS; two daughters, Helen Weeks, Liberal, KS;
Kathryn Mauch, Lamar, CO;
three sisters, Vivian Bethel. Lakin, KS; Vera Mae Knief, Katy, TX; Juanita Hamby, Pawhuska, OK; nine grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an
infan son Donald Dea Weeks, his parents, three brothers’s Gordon, Eldon & Damon.

Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will
take place at a later date.
