Edna M Correll, 87, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her home in Liberal, KS .

She was born February 17, 1927 at Turpin, OK, the daughter of Ray and Edna (Barnes) Casady.

She married Hudene C. Correll on November 18, 1943 at Liberal, KS. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1989.

Edna was a class of 1945 graduate of Turpin High School in Turpin, Ok. She worked at Selfridges Florists in Liberal for 13 years before retiring in 1971.

Edna enjoyed crafting and caregiving. She was a Past Grand Matriarch of the Grand LEA, Past President of the LAPM, leader for the Theta Rho Girl’s Club,

and a member of the Rebekahs. She was the 2013 recipient of the Meritorious Award through the Grand LEA for her community service work and her work in the lodge. Edna was also a member of the Central Christian Church of Liberal and the Circle.

Her survivors include three Sons – Norvan Correll and wife Barbara of Liberal, KS, Michael E. Correll of Ardmore, OK, Chuck Correll and wife Carol of Spearville, KS; one Daughter – Marsha Johnson and husband Mickey of Macksville, KS. 15 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. three Brothers – Cecil Casady of Pensacola, FL; Jesse Casady of Tyler, TX; and Roscoe Casady of Liberal, KS; two Sisters – Vida Noland of Topeka, KS and Bessie Colvin of Tucson, AZ.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one Daughter – Merry Wedel, two Brothers – Homer Casady and Harold Casady; one Sister – Julia Jordan.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Central Christian Church with Pastor Chuck Scroggs celebrating. Inurnment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorials to the Liberal Hospice in care of Miller Mortuary.
