Edmundo Rene Salazar Jaurez

Edmundo Rene Salazar Jaurez, age 70, died Friday, July 8, 2022, at his residence in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on April 19, 1952, to Rene Salazar and Louisa Jaurez in Guatamala City, Guatamala.

Edmundo received his bachelor’s degree in Guatamala before moving to the United States. He was a Captain for the Guatemalen Army. After moving to the United States, Edmundo worked in fabrication at National Beef for many years.

He is survived by
His son, Henning Salazar in Guatamala
Two sisters, Christina Salazar and
Carmen Salazar
Cousins, Rosa Armijo Salazar (Egar), Norma Valles Salazar (Martin) and
Many other beloved extended family.

Preceded in death by
Both his parents, Rene Salazar and Louisa Jaurez.

Rosary will be at 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 17, 2020, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, July 18, 2020, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas. Rev. Juan Salas presiding.

Burial to follow at Restlawn Cemetery, 8955 HWY 83, Liberal, Kansas.
