Edelmira Cueto Reyes, age 50, died Saturday, October 7, 2023, at her residence in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born on December 28, 1972, the daughter of Francisco Cueto Perez and Candelaria Reyes Mireles in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. Edelmira was united in marriage to Victor Armando Alcoser Contreras and was the loving mother of two children, Victor Alcoser-Cueto, and Candelaria “Candy” Sarai-Alcoser. She worked as a cook for National Beef for many years. Edelmira was deeply loved and will be missed by all.
She is survived by Husband, Victor Armando Alcoser Contreras of Liberal, Kansas, son, Victor Alcoser-Cueto of Liberal, and Candelaria “Candy” Sari-Alcoser of Liberal, Kansas, two brothers, Rafael Cueto Reyes of Mexico, and Oscar Cueto Reyes of Mexico, three sisters, Yolanda Miranda Cueto of Liberal, Kansas, Dora Cueto Reyes of Mexico, Olivia Sigla Cueto of Liberal, Kansas, and two grandchildren, Analia Avalos, and Jayden Rene Alcoser.
Preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Cueto Perez and Candelaria Reyes Mireles, and two sisters, Maria Del Consuelo Cueto Reyes, and Elisa Soto Cueto.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home.
Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral Mass will be 1:00 PM, on Friday, October 13, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Reverend Charles Seiwert celebrating.
A burial to follow at Liberal Cemetery.
